Hi! We’re the Children in Actionsm of New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, North Carolina. We’ve been very busy! We collected food items for the South Baptist Men Mission. We also collected enough food to fill 13 buckets for “Buckets of Hope for Haiti.” We enjoy every missions project. We’ve worked hard for our disaster relief badges, and for other badges too!

Hi! We are the Children in Actionsm of Madison Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee. We are a small group, but a busy one!

For Children’s Ministry Day 2009, we took gifts and visited the children on the pediatric floor of our local hospital. We visited with the children, their families, and the nurses. We left presents for the children who were too ill to have a visit. After our visit to the hospital, we enjoyed a trip to Snappy Pizza.

Hi! Our church is small, so we have boys and girls in our group. We call ourselves “Girls and Boys in Action” at Good News Baptist Church in South Mills, North Carolina. Here we are with food we collected on Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday.

The children at Calvary Baptist Church in Elgin, Illinois, helped their church raise $962 for the Ricks Institute.

For three weeks church members worked together on a project they called “Let’s Fill the Barnyard.” Children were challenged to give up one treat during this period, and bring in the money they’d saved. When children brought in a dollar, they received a picture of a goat or pig. They named the animals and posted the pictures on a bulletin board.

Our church averages only 100 members, so we were surprised with the strong response to this missions project!

The Children in Action at Stowers Hill Baptist Church in Attalla, Alabama, loaded up a shopping cart full of Oodles of Noodles. They handed out forty bags of spaghetti noodles and sauce, along with an invitation to church, to families in the community. The kids were very excited about this missions project. Their purpose was not only to provide a meal, but also to encourage others to become involved in church.

This group has also participated in Operation Christmas Child, led a sock drive for the homeless and a food drive for the Etowah Baptist Mission Center, and participated in a back-to-school bash held at the local housing authority.

This group has teamed up with the Mission Friends class to form a children’s ministry called The Messengers. This ministry is based on Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ ”

Our goal is to share the Word of Jesus Christ.

The Children in Action of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, have had fun learning about different missions that are close by. We filled baby bottles with money. Then we took the bottles to the Crisis Pregnancy Ministry to help new moms with the needs they might have. The kids especially enjoyed using the baby bottles as a way to collect money.

It is always god to have a fun way to meet a need in the community, and find others who are eager to help.

The Children in Action of Beulah Baptist Church in Winter Garden, Florida, had a special guest during the month of June, while we were learning about ministry in Hawaii. She performed a Christian Hawaiian hula dance, and taught us how to do June’s Bible verse with “hula hands.” She also taught us some Hawaiian words.

We had a great time learning about Joy Turner and her ministry with foreign students who come to Hawaii.

Hi! We’re the Children in Action of Nebo Baptist Church in Nebo, Illinois. We collected money each week at home. We put our money into a “Barn Bank” that we made. We reached our goal of $139! We sent this money to help a farmer in Croatia.

The Children in Action of Timberlake Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, packed nine grocery bags of goodies for nine Clemson University students. We told these students that we are praying for them. We also sent packages of school items to fourteen missionaries across the US, Canada, and Hawaii. We are excited to know these items will be used to share Jesus’s love with children in need.

The Children in Action of Slater Baptist Church in Slater, South Carolina, raised over $30 in pennies for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Church members helped by bring their spare pennies. God is using these kids to share Jesus’s love with others!

The Children in Action of Leakesville Baptist Church in Leakesville, Mississippi, presented potted plants to their pastor. These plants were passed out to shut-ins in their community. The children potted the plants themselves, and watched them grow and bloom. They wanted to share this beauty with others.

This group also made Christmas possible for seven missionaries. By making signs and spotlighting these missionaries at their church, they were able to send gifts and supplies to the missionaries for Christmas in August.

The Children in Action of Murfreesboro Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, collected $275 to buy water filters for Pure Water, Pure Love. This far exceeded their original goal of $100! The children collected donations through penny jars and other coin collections given by generous church members.

We are the Children in Action of First Baptist Church in Loco, Oklahoma. Our church congregation helped us collect Christmas in August items for missions leader Michelle Bruss at Baptist Friendship House in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are asking God to bless this ministry and to keep them safe during the hurricane season.

Hi! We’re the Children in Action of the First Baptist Church in Heron Bay, Coden, Alabama. We’ve worked hard in missions this year! We love the Lord Jesus Christ, and pray often for the people in our community and the missionaries we study each month.

Hurricane Katrina hit our community very hard. In response, we made and delivered 55 Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes and fruit baskets to needy families.

We had a special “CiA Secret Agent program” to kick off our Annie Armstrong Easter Offering campaign. We also presented several other programs, prior to Easter, to help our church family realize the importance of reaching others with the love of Jesus Christ.

We participate in a “Signs of Grace” ministry. In this ministry, we learn to use sign language to present songs. We have presented special music through sign language at our regular services as well as at other churches. We want to spread the good news in every way we can!

Hello!
We are the Children in Action of Southside Baptist Church in August, Georgia. We made “goody bags” to deliver to waiting rooms at hospitals in our area. Here we are, counting the money we collected for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. We enjoy Children in Action. We’re learning a lot about missionaries!

We are the RAs and GAs of Cornerstone Church in LaVista, Nebraska. We worked together on Children’s Ministry Day 2008 to bring food to the Omaha Baptist Center. This center serves people in need of food, employment, and other kinds of help.

We are the Children in Action of Antioch Baptist Church in Dry Branch, Georgia. We have been hard at work showing God’s love in our community through Live Action projects: We made valentines and Easter baskets for the Children’s Hospital in Macon, Georgia. We have taken fruit baskets to people who are sick, and snacks to the sheriff’s office. We’ve cleaned yards for the elderly, and have performed at nursing homes and assisted-living homes during the Christmas season. In January, our parents cooked a meal for a couple in need. We try to do one project every month.

Check back each month for new children's groups.

Let us hear from you. Tell us what your children are doing.
